Country Manager Collection Servicing
About the Role
Alektum Group is a leading European provider of credit management and debt collection services, operating across 8 countries in Europe. We are now looking for a commercially driven and analytical Country Manager with a strong leadership background to lead our operations in Denmark.
Our business in Denmark serves some of the largest clients, both on European and local level, with around 40 employees and a dedicated management team in Denmark. You will be a part of the Group Servicing Management Team meaning you’ll collaborate closely with other country managers and the Quality and Efficiency team. You will have the overall responsibility for the daily management, strategic development, and P&L performance, ensuring profitability and growth in a matrix together with Group functions.
The position is based at our office in Århus, though we welcome candidates from the broader region. While some remote work is possible, the role requires frequent on-site presence at the local office to ensure close collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading a management team and an organization of a total of about 40 employees.
- Oversee local operations through data-driven decisions, setting the over-all plan and direction as well as ensuring alignment with corporate objectives of financial and commercial targets.
- Develop and execute local business strategies that support Alektum’s profitability ambitions.
- Drive commercial performance through collaboration with the Sales Department in strategic customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
- Build and nurture a strong customer and partner network to strengthen Alektum’s market position.
- Foster operational excellence through efficient processes and a genuine interest, and analytics, of the key performance indicators that make the business successful.
- Collaborate closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including other County Managers, Group Functions, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and empower high-performing managers and teams to deliver operational excellence.
The position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally within financial institutions, banking or debt collection.
- Strong commercial mindset and analytical skills leading to demonstrated success in business development, operational excellence, customer relationship management, and sales leadership.
- Solid P&L management skills and ability to deliver both growth and profitability.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently with internal teams, external partners, and government bodies.
- A results-driven leader who combines strategic direction with daily operations in a collaborative approach, ensuring clarity, engagement, and execution within the team.
- Deep understanding of local regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
- Fluency in both Danish and English.
